1st Easel card

Hey, here is my first easel card and made it for my sis in Australia. It is such an easy card to make and it stands well.. hahahahah I use my most favourite Christmas card paper for the backgound, cos it glitters. And I stamp the little cute penguin colour it in blue theme. A big wooden star ornament on the top side. On the base, I stick the cardboard Xmas-says, putting stamp ink on it and glittering glue, feeling like the snow falling down yeah..............Merry Xmas.....

Ho ho ho

Hi guys, have you ready for Xmas celebration this year? I am here to share some of my Xmas cards which were ordered by a colleague a month ago. Sorry for not posting them on time but still not that late to welcome the Santa anyway..

I made one more santa card for my buddy colleague.

Dear sister

I guess she is suitable for vintage style of things with feminine embellishments to be added on. Cos she always gives me a 'weak' look (will be blown off by strong wind easily hahahaha).. and slow motion person.

I made her this card for her birthday though has one month past, still better than none.

Candles blowing

Hi everyone, how are you lately? Just come back from a wonderful holiday. To enjoy the holiday, I was late in delivering for some birthdays. Yeah, can't have 2 tasks to be completed in one time. So, this week I managed to rush 4 crafts out to my dear friends.... Enjoy peeping......

Lemon poppyseed cupcake

Earlier I planned to bake this for one of my colleague's wedding. However, it couldn't be realized. Today I am off from work and going to have a birthday celebration tonite for my friend. Thus, dream comes true to make this for her. Can't remember since when I fall in love with yellow color, lemon is the fruit I like, yellow flower is the plant i dream to have in my garden. So I combine all in my photo. It is light, refreshing, sunny feel when you have it with a cup of 'kopi'. Hope it shines well tonight with the candles on...

Chicken pie

I am inspired to make this pie when I watch a commercial in a food channel talking about chicken pot pie. As you can see, it is a commercial, so there is no receipe for me. I just use my imagination to cook the sauce and do the same method tearing the meat by hand. I add in peas and carrot to 'color' my pie. How's that? Want a bite too?

Pork+yam pie

I miss what I have since young the 'Shao Pao' from Kuching. It tastes very different from elsewhere. The content is made from pork and yam plus peas. Thus, it inspires me to make my childhood luxurious food last weekend. Instead of shao pao, I make them a pie.

Birthday stars

I have been very slack in my crafting mainly due to my sister grabbed most of my tools for her album job. However, I am pushed to make 3 cards to my colleagues this weekend cos I have owed for quite sometimes already. Take a look on my work piece and enjoy your day......

I {heart} cherry choc

Hey dear... wonder where have I been; missing almost for about a month? I have been to nowhere just didn't have a right time to do my leisure projects. Here I am back and bake a simple chocolate cake with cherry in the middle. The cherry jam is wonderful to work on with, it is chunky and easily to scoop to place it in the middle and stays still. Further, I cut out a heart shape on a hardboard and powder icing sugar on top of it cos it is just too blank. Lovely or not?

Corn beef cup bread

Happy father's day every one....  I have whole bowl of corn beef leftover in my fridge and have no plan with it, thus come out this idea to blend it into bread. Nothing new here with the dough. I just bake it in cupcake style, garnish the top with corn beef, spring onion, mayonnaise and mozzarella cheese. I guess I put too much dough in a cup, it rises so high and explodes, but I love the result.

Taro Cake

I can't remember since when I knew this word 'Taro', it sounds to me like a Japanese word, but it is not, it is so called in US for YAM.

Last weekend, I managed to buy 3 small yam, not thai yam, native yam, but the 'pinang' yam. I just direct translate it from Chinese 槟欖芋hahahhaha.. i learn from my mom, you got to cut abit at the bottom of the yam to see if it is the pinang yam, how to see it, pinang yam got a lot of 'flower' patterns, the more the better.

Well I did a tray of steam yam cake, however, I didn't manage to snap a photo of it. Anyway, this morning I deep fried some leftover with batter, golden brown, whoo hooo... another style and taste.

Cheese n choc cake

I found this receipe from web. I can't resist not doing it when I see it relates to cheese. I did 8 cupcakes, 6 intentionally for my sis 's birthday, yes, other than a card, she got my cupcakes. Another 2 have gone into my princess's stomach. For the remaining, I have no patient to do all of them in cupcake style, indeed I layer them with cheese in the middle and bake them in whole loaf.

Talking more on the cupcake, I pump butter icing cream on top of it and garnish with strawberry. With my attitude, I don't fond of doing cream because nobody would eat that. This time, I can't choose not to do it, I need to make it look like really birthday cake to a person.

Card for sis

Green Go

Last minute.. It's always last minute I got to know whose birthday it is. This time is Connie. I made her a green card, cool huh, environment friendly huh.. hahahahha she loves apple green, I hope I have chosen the color nearest to the sweet juicy green. In addition, I have added a bottle of coffee to her.. LOL.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY.....

Marble cake

I was given last minute notice to go for an outstation job. This is my 1st journey for this year, thus I appreciate it very much though is not a holiday hehehhee. Somehow, can board on a plane is a happy thing to me. So I receive an order to make my colleague cakes, she loves choc cake and butter cake. To combine her taste, I bake this marble cake. Good in the texture but quite dry.

Brownies with nuts

Hazelnuts, macadamia, pistachio, almond... so many types of nuts in the fridge, it is so dull just to munch like that, also high calories intake in my body which is the main concern hahhahah... because of this, I google what I can do with all these nuts one go. It is excited to find this brownies receipe which not only dumping in all the nuts, but also using dark chocolate as main ingredient. It doesn't give very sweet taste which I always percept it as. Somehow the bitter taste and nuts combination is just nice. Further, warm it up and eat with Vanilla ice-cream is heavenly fabulous.

Ring Ring Doughnut

Hello everyone.. this should be blogged long time ago but somehow I don't have the time. I recalled when I was kids time, the bread which I love to eat is doughnut. I fond of the sugar wrapped on the whole ring and the fragrance from the fried dough. The big big circle which I always inserted little fingers to hold it and started to bite as big as I could.

This dough rise not that well. Thus, it gave a quite hard texture on next days. Some days in future I must make again. >_<

'nana cake

OZ people like to call banana as Nana. So I use this cute short term to name my title. I remember I like to buy banana cake in pasar malam when I was in college. I wont miss that whenever I went there. I like the fragrance and the soft texture of it. Always I want to try it out, but just lazy. Today, by chance I stopped by a shop and saw banana was being sold. Thus, I grab 1 bunch and come out with cupcake style. It is too wet, I think I put too much banana, too greedy, and I chunk it instead mash it, too lazy. Thus greedy + lazy = below.

Blueberry cheese bun

I was inspired to make this when my colleague treated me a cheese bun one day. And I remember I had the butter blueberry bun in Brunei before. However, I prefer cheese to butter more, so I combine both. Again, my skill of wrapping the bun is still required more training LOL....

Photography

Yesterday I was being asked to take photos on the food prepared by my sista... excited excited because I love to snap food besides eating.. wuwahahha......here are some my hubby and me play around with..

Love in blue

Hi everyone, today weather is wonderful. I am enjoying the cloudless sky and windy blow while having my brunch. I am here too blogging now.

I was known last week that tomorrow is my colleague, Corrine's birthday. What a coincident time that I have a chance to create a blue theme card which I have been thinking all this while. However, I got this challenge that I don't have enough blue-y things, OMG right? I search up and down, down and up all my supplies, huh... I am able to mix and match with the below design. Further, I still can't resist from adding flowers to my card, they are the must things in my card, what a stubborn idea huh.. LOL..

Also the new things I like to play around now is the glittery glue which add a gasp to my card. They do wonders to turn the object more eye catching and glowing. Quick, take a glance now...

Choc n coconut cupcake

I spent my day in a bookshop today and flipped through the books at the cooking and baking corner. Then  I saw this receipe - chocolate and coconut cupcake. Why don't give it a try as I have all the ingredients at home. Another reason why I wanted to try is because it doesn't need soda in the ingredient which I don't like the texture after all.

However, I still need to modify the ingredient, from dark choc to milk choc, from cake flour to self raising flour, because I found I don't have dark choc in my shelf, I lazy to snip a new pack of cake flour just for this cake, thus I just use self raising and ignore the baking powder. I don't think this will make the cake turned into hay wired. But, I made a big mistake *sneak out my tongue*.. LOL.. I forgot to measure my melted butter, I just poured in whatever amount I melted without realising it actually I need 3 tablespoon.

Oh no, I was only wake up when I scooped the batter to the cup. Ya yeee.... would it succeed or not in my mind. Arrgh,... don't care. I just throw the whole batch into the oven. Hmmmpphhh... ya this is the result. It is a bit dry (not much butter I guess) and not sweet enough. ( I need to add a little bit more sugar than the instruction). I have thought a remedy for finishing this - eat with ice cream. Cool idea? LOL.........

Travel scrapbooking

Today I want to share with you one of the pages I do for my travel album. This page is meaningful to me because it is our family gathering with long distance cousin and auntie. Long distance is not the relationship being far, is just the place we stay is far from each other.

We have spent a wonderful night with each other in a cozy embiance of her house. Mum and dad were the happiest couple as they were able to reunion with their beloved niece and grandniece. This moment is treasure for all of us I believe.

March stars

Hello everybody. Time flies. 1st quarter of 2012 is going to end. This month, I made a bookmark and a card for 2 birthday stars.
