31.12.2013

I have a habit that I must surf one round net before I start my day with all the numbers, and it got to do together with my breakfast in front of the computer. (Not healthy right?.. LOL) So today I opened up my twin friends' blogs, while enjoying reading their blogs, I realised my name has been mentioned, guess what it is very shameful as she did surf my blogs but always webs and dust are kept there and i think many more creatures are building their nests in there too.... LOL

So and it is the last day of 2013, I should blog some to recap what I have done in the final quarter of 2013.

Start up with my gang's birthday, I made them a Bavarian coconut cake and Ombre Yam Cake. I don't know how should the original cake taste like, it just the inspiration for me to challenge some new receipes.

Move on with another gang's birthday, I wanted to try to make a watermelon strawberry cake, sounds very frutti and juicy right? This is inspired by my sister who tasted in Sydney. However, quite a disappoiting experience as I can't find strawberry in the town, now rose water too sold here.. Sigh, so it ends up my own version of watermelon without the strawberry cake.

I go with a very simple cake for my dad's birthday. He loves fruit cake, thus I make one with thin layers of lemon curde which brings out sweet and sour taste and freshy lemon aroma in all.

That's all about my cake baking for year 2013.

Talking about my passion on crafts, I did a wedding photo album for my sister which is challenging and a satisfied experience to me.

Proceed on with another challenge, I transform the normal scrapbooking layout into a photo frame as a gift for a couple.

Miss you all

So sorry for not dropping in here for long long long time. Firstly, I am tied up of finishing wedding invitation cards as promised to my sister. At last they are done. Secondly, I am busy with setting up my online business store. The process took me 2 months to accomplish from business registration til uploading my first batch of products. There are a lot of hiccups in between but finally it is manageable and here is my store address; www.craft-n-create.com. Do visit us from time to time as I am going to upload more products in there. This business hopefully would give an additional choice for Malaysian crafters to source their materials. Stay tuned.

Mango cheese cake

This actually is an old post, just no time to blog it. On parent's day and mom's birthday celebration, which we combine all in one, save time, save money, and grand celebration it can be, I decided to create this for them, Mango cheese cake. My mom loves my cotton cheese cake, while my dad loves mango so to my bro in law. Thus, I blend them into one cake. It is a long process and holding my breath to finish it, a must to finish no matter how. Luckily it stays fine all the way and tastes heavenly good.

Mangomisu

Ya we have used to taste Tiramisu, so just apply the same method instead of deeping in coffee drink, spreading coffee powder, we use mango. Now is the good time to make this receipe because it is mango season. I got them free from my mom in law backyard, I name them Phillipine mango since young not too sure if it is the correct name,  it smells so well and the fragrant is so strong, and sweet too. I do this big batch for my sister gang of colleagues who are having steamboat at my home.

Who wants bak zhang?

I am so nervous when I know I want to make bak zhang, because I only did it once 'n' years ago which I remember I was just helping my mum doing that. I told my mum the other day I want to do it this year, blessed that she highlights some tricks and yayeee, *victory* sign.. It tastes less salty probably I need to add more flavour on the rice next time...

Embossing card

Hello, I want to share here a card which I made for my colleague's birthday. I emboss the card and rub on an rose image, then put on some glitters. That's it!! simple and clean.

Sorry for the shooting skill, don't know why it slants to one side...... LOL

Poppy poppy

Hey, a colleague of mine ordered this from me, lemon poppy. In fact, this is the 2nd time she did it, it was blue cream, now is pink. And ribbon is requested to tie on the cupcake. Sweet right?
